Al'righty, (takes a big swig of whiskey) gather around and I'll tell the lot of you why these Frankenstinian horrors must be purged from the face of the internet. 1. The Car/Ball fandom takes a funny, silly world filled with zany characters and turns it into a soap opera mess where all your favourite denizens of Elmore are stripped of everything you loved about them and are left as sad shells of their former selves. Carrie, in-show a witty pastiche of emos, is reduced to a bland baby-making soccer mom that has everything likeable about her thrown right out of the window along with Penny, a character who was constantly hinted with chemistry for Gumball appears to have never existed. 2. Many excellent artists have fallen to this false movement, I won't mention since I'm a nice person but to any artists planning of unleashing anymore of these horrors DON'T! POOR CARRIE'S STRETCHED COOCH CAN'T TAKE ANYMORE!! ..Okay, sorry for that outburst. Moving on. 3. Nicole and Richard are respectively a cat and a rabbit, yet neither Gumball nor Anais are a mish-mash of the two species. So why are those things are emo-fringed hybrid ghouls? 4. Many stories follow a common fanfic cliche of being "dark" and "serious" despite being about show involving a cactus and peanut falling in love, reimagining a comical show as being more serious in a attempt to appeal to an older audience isn't being more "grown up", it's being even more silly and ridiculous than the show already is. It's what reduced "Adventure time" to a pathetic shadow of itself, lacking anything that used to make it FUN.
And now you know, take up arms with me, take a stand and save the TAWOG fandom these false offspring!
I agree with everything said here, being an Anti-Carballer, except Ben has never shown a pattern of how he pictures a hybrid pairing and off spring. Look at Jaime who has parents who you couldn't tell were hers until Ben says so. Gumball and Anais's species disputes are for mascot and diversity purposes only. It's not a bad thing to make hybrid Offspring as long as it's original and appealing. The problem is the Carball fanbase overuses the same thing over and over and draw fetish art and horrible tedious styles with a lack of respect for Ben's style.
I hate sugar coating criticism but not even I can say those "excellent" artists names if I criticize because I get bashed by idiots with "higher" moral ground. If a shitty artist makes a bad mary sue OC he is thrashed, if a good artist that takes advantage of animu cutsey themes and makes a bad self insert mary sue OC no one gives a shit.
The culture of the Fandom won't ever change, that's not to say we can't put it to shame. (Lol?)
LOL! what is there to do? the Carball fandom is not as omnipotent as they claim to be, in fact some of those "excellent" artists don't care about the ship at a relative retrospect these days, at most they're only replaced by new Carball fans who make new fankids basically personifying themselves, or more like (self-inserts). The origins of the Carball fankids started when a Carball fan thought that a race of quantity in fankids would make the ship canon (I was told by Midnight Wolf) what I don't like is when idiots attempt to rationalize their shipping preference, like "penny is a mary sue, there is more chemistry in Carball) bullshit that make no sense.
